simple utility set with coil, fan and motor, which distributes warm
air in large spaces, and if needed, it can be controlled by a
thermostat. It is mainly used in repair shops, factories, sport
halls, storage areas, green houses and large public places. Unit
heater is fed by hot water or steam which is sent from central
Heating plant. Unit heater's body is made of steel sheet, and heat
transfer part is radiator type unit with 15 m water pressure. for
higher pressures of water or steam the fins rolled over pipes with

could be galvanized, seamless or copper. Unit heater can produce
capacities 10,000 to 60,000 Kcal/h and for higher or special cases
it will be manufactured according to the order. History. Saphyad
industrial Co. Was founded in 1968 by late Honorable Mehdi Bazargan
and his fellow group of Tehran University lecturers and other
experts. Saphyad which in fact is considered one of the first
manufacturer in heating and cooling industries started its work by
manufacturing Cubic and Trapezoid Cooling towers, Unit heaters and a
utility called Zent ( Room air conditioning unit). Today it has
expanded by producing different kind of cooling towers; Air handling
units and another utility named Zetka. The quality, performance,
easy repair, after - sale service and low cost, are the main
characteristics of saphyad products. Looking at the company's list
of services to the industrial centers and domestic consumers in
various parts of country shows the high expected performance of
these products. COMPANY'S GROWTH Saphyad started its work in 8000 sqm area but complying with the company's growth we bought in 1993, 30000 sqm land in ”Shams abad” industrial city which started with 4 big saloons for various manufacturing machines, office, electrical substation and other control offices. PERSONNEL. Company started by 10 persons in 1968 and soon after the need for technical and ordinary personnel has raised to: Factory: 70 persons (4 eng, 2 technician and 62 skilled technical laborers). Main office: (two Phd / 6 eng / 3 Msc / 3 Bsc). Quality control: All products are controlled from raw material to final finished product and delivery, to assure safe and conforming to contractual needs. Saphyad cooling towers are made in several forms Such as: SC: ( Saphyad cubical tower ) ( 14 to 270 tons of refrigeration) STC: ( Saphyad trapezoid cooling tower ) of the famous classical type, ( 300 to 1000 tons of refrigeration. SDC: (Saphyad Double story tower) for minimizing the land need for large capacities. (More than 1000 tons of refrigeration). All of the above models are induced draught cross flow type. Their main body and structure top and bottom and fan blades are made of galvanized sheets. The gear box of STC towers are made locally or imported from Rossi (Italy). SCC: ( Saphyad concrete cooling tower) which main body ( structure and basin ) is made by concrete and Saphyad has already given to various industries which are successfully in operation. Saphyad also produces counter flow cooling towers with galvanized sheet, concrete and fiber glass body according to customer's request. The cooling capacities of Saphyad towers normally based on inlet w. temp 95 °F - Out let w. temp 85 °F and wet bulb temp 72 °F. For Capacities over this thermal values or exceeded water flow or other conditions, Saphyad uses concrete or galvanized high towers with counter flow shape to meet the customer's needs. Towers will be delivered in split parts in the factory (according to the conditions of the area which towers are used) agreement on the details of installation will be discussed and prepared. ZENT. This utility set is sort of air conditioner which operates in summer time blowing warm and dry air through wet layers of dunnage, thus producing pleasant air temperature for the environment. In winter time this utility maintains the same pleasant air temperature by mixing the outside fresh air and inside return air and passing it through the heating coil made of finned tubes which is heated by the circulating hot water of the installation and distributing it to various parts of the building, by the ducts. The air flow capacity of Saphyad "ZENT" is 2500-40000 m3/h and their heating capacity 12000-200000 Kcal/h. Units use single or three phase AC/line and have adjustable damper for regulating fresh and return air complete with water connections and drain facility. ZETKA is the last utility which has been tested and became operational by the supervision help of late Mr. Mehdi Bazargan. This unit besides supplying the required heat in winter, can also provide cooled, pleasing air in summer overcoming humidity of crowded halls.
